Anybody can "do the course" A good Portable Appliance Tester has to have experience. Every engineer we use has at least 4 years experience in PAT Testing. We have noticed recently quite a few of so called PAT Testing companies popping up offering their services at dirt cheap prices........our advice would be to be very careful. Your appliances can cost hundreds of pounds to replace if damaged and in the hands of inexperienced testers this can happen very easily. Running 25 amps through your PC for instance can quite easily kill it. Inexperienced testers dont always know this.

Also be aware that the price we quote you is the price you will pay. We dont charge for fuses, plugs or minor repair work we carry out.
