• Brenda's: delicious food served with a smile

  Well, they smile at you when they serve you; you don't get a smile as part of your food. "Fish, chips, some scraps and a large smile please. No vinegar." I bet a smile dipped in curry sauce would be wonderful though. MmmmmMmmmmm!Anyway, onto the review with great speed. Brenda's is without doubt one of the nicest chip shops I've ever had the pleasure to visit. It's not a very large establishment, but the quality of the food is excellent. I've never had the fish, but friends and well-wishers who have had the fish tell me it's delicious.The chips are always cooked to perfection and the small portion (£1.00; £1.30 for a large portion) is more than enough to fill me up. There are around seven chairs inside so that you can sit down and eat your food in comfort. It does get very busy at times, but with quality food such as this being served, it's hardly surprising.The service is always speedy and always friendly. The staff here are chatty and extremely pleasant and helpful. No miserable curmudgeons here, I'm happy to announce. All in all, an inexpensive, enjoyable place to visit when you're hungry. I've been many many, many a time and have never once had a bad experience. Well worth a visit.

  The first word i should say about the food here is really tasty.The word tasty pretty much sums up how good the food is here,they make some really good fish and chips here.Their fish and chips are made fresh here,the taste of the fish here is really good.They make it nice here,i like their fish a lot from here.They are always busy here so its a long wait in the que at times here.A lot of people in the area talk about how good the fish and chips here,if you live local here i suggest you try the food from here,its marvellous!
