Damons is the place to be on your birthday if you live in Sheffield. Just bring along your birth certificate and you get to eat free and you get a birthday cake and they sing to you! Oh make sure that you book in advance too. Ask anyone in Sheffield and they'll have been to a birthday or two at Damons. The only downside is that lots of other people are celebrating their birhdays around you so you might not feel quite so special after all. The food is American style if thats what you like and the presentation is really great. Much better quality than TGI Fridays in my opinion, which has a similar kind of menu. This place is nearly always busy so make sure that you book and delegate the driving as they have a cracking cocktails menu.

This is your typical American Grill kind of resturant. It serves things from Steaks to Fajitas and generally has something for everyone. The style of the resturant is unique ( a big circle) the bar has a fantastic choice of Cocktails both alcoholic and Non. The bar area is where you will be seated/sent before your table is ready. Around the walls you will see old movie posters and old classics for your entertainment. When you are seated at your table you can start on the menu, with a great range of sides I really recommend the Coleslaw it is fantastic and you must have an Onion Loaf it is truely devine!
American style bar and grill places have been popping up in the UK for years now - Frankie And Bennies, TGIs and so on can be found in many locations up and down the country. Damons, however, in my opinion, is streets ahead of all these. Its been around for years now - my first visit was back in 1997, and I try to visit every once in a while. Its a great place to take friends to. The food is always exemplary - like you'd expect you have your burgers and so forth, but they also do a particularly nice line in chicken - cajun, BBQ etc. The ribs too are particularly nice. A special mention has to go to the desserts, which are reasonably priced and plentiful, and every visit should include one of their cocktails - particularly recommended is the one which tastes like strawberry opal fruits (!)The decor is appealing - old movie posters and photographs and the like, and its always kept clean. Even if you visit at a weekend evening when its at its busiest, you wont have too long to wait for your food and service is always very good.Highly recommended.
